If you seek health , look first to the spine
SOCRATES
I am a fellowship-trained orthopaedic spine surgeon in southern India. My decade-long career has been shaped by distinct practise philosophies and surgical training obtained from different places. My focus has always been on evidence-based surgical practise and making educated decisions to achieve improved clinical outcomes.
All spinal aches have a underlying biomechanical disruption in which weak muscles contribute to pain perpetuation. Structured, targeted physical therapy understanding the underlying anatomical reason for pain alleviates pain and avoid future disabling attacks. Physical therapy involving modalities pacify the muscles which are retrained to unload the spinal column to give long term pain relief. Rehabilitation depending on the clinical scenario – involves a team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, yoga instructors, and chiropractors.
